    I really enjoyed the plot of this story. I liked the way the author began with ordinary characters and bit by bit they became more flawed. Unfortunately, the writing style was terrible. Present tense and very immature. Marco say this, Anne thinks this etc - no sophistication in the way sentences are constructed. It suggests that the author thinks her readers are somewhat simpleminded. Every page jarred and if I hadn’t been enjoying the plot line so much I wouldn’t have finished it.

    Really was expecting far more from this book. One of those books I forced myself to read as I had paid for it! Very predictable and a bit boring. Certainly not one of those books you can’t put down.

    I struggled to finish this, which is a shame as it has a good plot. There were one or two good passages of dialogue, but also a lot of repetitive narrative, which didn’t add to the story or make the characters more believable. Mostly, it felt like I was reading a description of something that happened, rather than being involved in a story.
